Closing the Gap and 60-day prescriptions
The Closing the Gap PBS co-payment (CTG) program reduces or removes the PBS co-payment for eligible Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This applies to all PBS general schedule medicines, including medicines approved for 60-day prescriptions.
If you are currently paying a reduced price or getting your PBS medicines for free under the CTG program, this arrangement will remain in place, even if your doctor writes you a 60-day prescription.
CTG prescriptions can only be dispensed at community pharmacies or private hospital pharmacies.
